I value the vastly superior performance of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, the smoother display with the 165Hz refresh rate, and the faster charging. Although I would miss the dedicated ultra-wide and depth sensors of the Xiaomi, the superior sensor of the main lens and the much better front facing camera, plus the wide-angle + macro on the ROG Phone 8 makes the camera module better overall. The ROG Phone 8's advantages in performance, display, battery and connectivity justify the higher price point for my needs. I also prefer the more durable glass screen.
