The Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite, launched on May 9, 2020, enters the medium-price segment with a focus on balanced performance and features.

Build Quality

The phone measures 157.8 mm in height, 74.2 mm in width, and 9.7 mm in depth, weighing in at 204 grams. This makes it a substantial device. It comes in three color options: Midnight Black, Glacier White, and Nebula Purple. The build includes a 4D curved glass screen and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for scratch resistance. The phone has a dual-edge display and the form factor is not foldable.

Screen Quality

The Mi Note 10 Lite features a 6.47-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels, resulting in a pixel density of 398 ppi. The display supports HDR10 and has a typical brightness of 430 nits, peaking at 600 nits. With a contrast ratio of 400000:1, the screen produces deep blacks and vibrant colors. The screen also incorporates Always-On Display, TÜV Rheinland Eye Comfort Certification, and DCI-P3 color gamut support. It also includes DC dimming, NTSC color support, and has scratch resistance. The display is a capacitive multi-touch screen with a water drop notch and a frameless design. It does not feature a high refresh rate.

Camera Performance

The rear camera setup is a quintuple array. The primary camera uses a 64MP Sony IMX686 Exmor RS sensor (1/1.7" sensor size, f/1.89 aperture, 0.80µm pixel size, with 1-4 (2x2) pixel binning), complemented by an 8MP wide-angle lens (f/2.2, 1.12µm pixel size), a 5MP depth sensor (f/2.4, 1.12µm pixel size), and a 2MP macro lens (f/2.4, 1.75µm pixel size). It includes features such as digital zoom, digital image stabilization, autofocus, touch focus, continuous autofocus, manual focus, continuous shooting, geotagging, HDR, face detection, white balance settings, ISO settings, exposure compensation, scene mode, self-timer, and RAW capture. It can record 4K video at 30fps, 1080p at 30/60/120fps and 720p at 960fps slow motion. Extra features include a 120° ultra-wide angle view, 1.6µm pixel size (using 4-in-1 binning), a macro lens effective down to 2 cm, and dual-LED flash. The front-facing selfie camera is a 16MP Samsung S5K3P3 ISOCELL sensor (1/3.06" sensor size, f/2.48 aperture, 1.0µm pixel size).

Software Experience

The Mi Note 10 Lite originally ships with Android 10 and is upgradable to Android 11.

Battery Performance

The device houses a 5260 mAh Li-Ion Polymer battery. It supports 30W fast charging using a 10V/3A charger. The battery is non-removable. Wireless charging is not supported.

The Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite utilizes the Qualcomm SDM730 Snapdragon 730G (8 nm) chipset with an octa-core CPU (2x2.2 GHz Kryo 470 Gold & 6x1.8 GHz Kryo 470 Silver) and an Adreno 618 GPU. It has LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.1 storage. It is available in multiple RAM and storage configurations, including 6GB/64GB, 6GB/128GB and 8GB/128GB. No SD card slot is provided. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0 LE with A2DP, EDR, HID, LE and aptX support, and GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, and Galileo. It also includes NFC. The device does not have an accessory connector or video output via USB Type C. Available price points for the 6GB/128GB version range from $140.08 to $312.23 depending on location.
