The Xiaomi 14T, released on September 26, 2024, offers a compelling set of specifications in the mid-price segment.

Build Quality

The phone measures 160.5 mm in height, 75.1 mm in width, and has a depth of 7.8 mm, weighing 193 grams. It has a comfortable feel in hand. The design incorporates standard flagship elements with flat sides and rounded corners. Color options include Titan Black, Titan Gray, Titan Blue, and Lemon Green. The device does not feature any foldable design elements.

Screen Quality

The Xiaomi 14T sports a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1220 x 2712 pixels, resulting in a pixel density of 446 ppi. The screen offers a 144Hz refresh rate, supporting 68 billion colors, Dolby Vision, and HDR10+. The display can reach a high brightness of 1600 nits in HBM mode, and a peak brightness of 4000 nits. It uses 1920 Hz PWM dimming, has a touch sampling rate of 480 Hz, and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5, The panel boasts a contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1, features a DCI-P3 color gamut, is SGS Certified and has TÜV Rheinland Eye Comfort Certification. Additional display attributes include a hole-punch notch, frameless design, capacitive multi-touch, and 12-bit color depth (10-bit + 2-bit FRC).

Camera Performance

The Xiaomi 14T has a triple rear camera setup:

• Main Camera: 50MP Sony IMX906 sensor (1/1.56", 1.00µm pixels, f/1.7 aperture), using pixel binning (1-4, 2x2). It has CMOS BSI 2 sensor type.
• Ultra-Wide Camera: 13MP Omnivision OV13B10 sensor (1/3.06", 1.12µm pixels, f/2.2 aperture), with CMOS type.

Battery Performance

The Xiaomi 14T features a 5000 mAh Li-Ion battery, supporting 67W fast charging using the Xiaomi P2 fast charging chip and G1 battery management chip. It includes reverse charging and is non-removable. However, wireless charging is not supported.

The Xiaomi 14T is positioned in the mid-price range with the 12GB/512GB version around $704.23 to $942.08. It offers 12GB RAM with either 256 GB or 512 GB of UFS 4.0 storage. There is no SD card slot for expandable storage. Considering its feature set, including its display, performance, and camera capabilities, the Xiaomi 14T presents a competitive value proposition within the mid-range smartphone market.
