Camera Performance

The Xiaomi 14's camera system is comprehensive, featuring a triple rear setup. The primary camera is a 50MP Omnivision OVX9000 sensor with a 1.6 aperture, 1.20µm pixels, 1/1.31" sensor size and pixel binning at 1-4 (2x2). A second 50MP camera uses a Samsung S5KJN1 ISOCELL sensor and functions as a wide-angle lens (115°), with an f/2.2 aperture, 1.12µm pixels, a 1/2.76" sensor size, and pixel binning at 1-4 (2x2). The third 50MP camera uses another Samsung S5KJN1 ISOCELL sensor, functioning as a telephoto/portrait lens, with a f/2.0 aperture, 0.64µm pixels, a 1/2.76" sensor size, and pixel binning at 1-4 (2x2), as well as optical image stabilization (OIS). The front-facing selfie camera is a 32MP Omnivision OV32B sensor with 0.70µm pixels, 1/3" sensor size and pixel binning at 1-4 (2x2). The rear camera system includes a 7P lens on the main sensor, a 6P lens on the ultra-wide sensor, and offers features such as a flicker sensor, noise reduction, 4K and 8K video recording, digital and optical zoom, triple camera setup, digital image stabilization, autofocus, and various modes for photo enhancements, including HDR and RAW 14-bit. The phone also features slow-motion video capability up to 1920fps. The phone's rear camera scored 137 for photo and 138 for video in DXOMark’s testing.

Software Experience

The Xiaomi 14 launches with Android 14 and is expected to receive updates up to Android 18. The device also includes the Pengpai G1 battery management chip and the Pengpai P2 charging chip, in addition to its software features and customizations.

The phone scored 1,985,014 in the Antutu v10 benchmark. It also includes a cooling system to manage thermal output during intensive tasks.

Connectivity

The Xiaomi 14 offers comprehensive connectivity options, including Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be), Bluetooth 5.4 LE with features like A2DP, LE, APT-x, LDAC, SBC, and AAC. It supports Dual SIM (Nano-SIM) functionality and has a wide range of 5G, 4G, 3G, and 2G network bands. The phone features GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, Galileo, and NavIC support. The USB Type-C port is version 3.2 with OTG capabilities. NFC is also included, and the device has a variety of sensors, including an accelerometer, gyro, proximity sensor, compass, barometer, fingerprint sensor (under display), and color spectrum sensor.
