Design

The Xiaomi 13 Pro, launched on December 14, 2022, measures 162.9mm in height, 74.6mm in width, and 8.4mm in depth, weighing 210g. Its build incorporates a ceramic back available in Ceramic Black, Ceramic White, Mountain Blue, and Ceramic Flora Green. The device is not foldable.

Display

The 13 Pro boasts a 6.73-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440 x 3200 pixels, resulting in a pixel density of 522 ppi. The display features a 120Hz refresh rate with LTPO technology for adaptive refresh rates ranging from 1 to 120Hz. It supports 1 billion colors, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and can reach a peak brightness of 1900 nits and 1200 nits under High Brightness Mode (HBM). The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus and incorporates a hole-punch notch. Additional features include 1920 Hz PWM, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, DCI-P3 color gamut, and a 10-bit panel. It also has SGS certification and is a dual-edge, frameless, capacitive multi-touch display.

Performance

The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm SM8550-AB Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (4 nm) chipset. Its CPU is an octa-core configuration with one 3.2 GHz Cortex-X3 core, two 2.8 GHz Cortex-A715 cores, two 2.8 GHz Cortex-A710 cores, and three 2.0 GHz Cortex-A510 cores. The graphics are handled by an Adreno 740 GPU. The device has a cooling system and scored 1532113 in AnTuTu v10. The RAM is LPDDR5X, and storage is UFS 4.0. Multiple RAM/ROM configurations are available including 8GB/256GB, 12GB/256GB, and 12GB/512GB, while a specific 8GB/128GB variant is available in China. There is no SD card slot.

Camera

The rear camera system is a triple setup, all using 50 MP sensors. The main lens utilizes a 1-inch Sony IMX989 CMOS sensor with an f/1.9 aperture and 1.60µm pixels (1-4 pixel binning). The wide-angle and telephoto lenses both use a Samsung S5KJN1 ISOCELL sensor with f/2.2 and f/2.0 apertures, respectively, and 0.64µm pixels (1-4 pixel binning). Video recording capabilities include 8K at 24fps, 4K at 24/30/60fps, and various 1080p options including slow-motion modes up to 1920fps all with HDR and EIS. Camera features include a Leica lens, LED flash, digital zoom, OIS, autofocus, and numerous shooting modes such as panorama, HDR, and night mode.

Battery Life

The device packs a 4820 mAh Lithium battery, supporting 120W fast wired charging. It also supports 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging. A Surge G1 battery management chip is included.

Software

The Xiaomi 13 Pro ships with Android 13, upgradable to Android 14.
