Screen Quality

Camera Performance

The Galaxy M55 features a triple-camera system on the rear. The main camera is a 50MP ISOCELL sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. The setup also includes an 8MP wide-angle lens (f/2.2, 1.12µm pixel size) with a CMOS sensor, and a 2MP macro lens (f/2.4) also using a CMOS sensor. Software Experience

The Samsung Galaxy M55 operates on Android 14. Samsung's skin layer provides a suite of features and customizations. There is currently no information about future OS updates.

Battery Performance

The phone is powered by a 5000 mAh Li-Ion battery. It supports 45W fast charging through the USB-C port. Wireless charging is not included. The battery is non-removable.

The phone does not have a cooling system, gaming buttons, or a notification LED.

Connectivity

The phone features dual SIM (Nano SIM) support, with dual standby. Network bands include comprehensive 5G support, 4G LTE bands, and older generations. WiFi capabilities include 802.11 a/b/g/n/n 5GHz/ac/ax (WiFi 6), with features such as Dual band, hotspot, Wi-Fi direct, and Wi-Fi Display. Bluetooth is version 5.2, supporting various profiles including A2DP, AVRCP, DIP, HFP, HID, HSP, MAP, PAN, OPP, PBAP/PAB, HOGP, LDAC, and SBC. GPS support is provided by GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, QZSS, Galileo, and NavIC systems. It has USB Type-C 2.0 with OTG capabilities. There is no DisplayPort over USB and no secondary USB port. NFC is included.

Value for Money

The Samsung Galaxy M55 is positioned in the medium price range. The 8GB/256GB variant is priced from around $354.32 to $370.17 depending on the market. The device offers a balance of features including a capable Snapdragon chipset, large AMOLED display, a versatile camera setup, and fast charging capabilities.
