Design

The Nothing CMF Phone 1 measures 164 mm in height, 77 mm in width, and 8.2 mm in depth, weighing 197 grams. It features a sleek design available in Black, Orange, and Light Green color options. The device is not foldable and incorporates a cooling system to manage thermal output.

Display

This phone boasts a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels (FHD+), resulting in a pixel density of 395 PPI. The display supports a 120Hz refresh rate, providing smooth visuals, and can reach a peak brightness of 2000 nits. Typical brightness is specified at 700 cd/m². Other notable features include a 240Hz touch sampling rate, DCI-P3 color gamut, sRGB standard, and scratch resistance. The display has a 20:9 aspect ratio and a 1000000:1 contrast ratio. It uses an LTPS (Low Temperature PolySilicon) panel with HDR10+ support and has a hole-punch notch for the front camera.

Performance

Powering the CMF Phone 1 is a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset, manufactured using a 4nm process. The CPU is an Octa-core configuration with four Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.5 GHz and four Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0 GHz. Graphics processing is handled by the Mali-G615 MC2 GPU. The device offers 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and storage options of 128GB or 256GB using UFS 2.2 technology. It does not support external SD card storage. The phone achieves an AnTuTu v10 score of around 673,000, and sensors include a fingerprint scanner (under display), proximity, light sensor, accelerometer, compass, and gyroscope.

Camera

The camera setup includes a dual rear camera system. The primary camera is a 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor with an aperture of f/1.79, a pixel size of 0.70 µm and 1/2" sensor size. It utilizes 2x2 pixel binning resulting in 1.4um pixel size. The secondary rear camera is a 2MP depth sensor with an f/2.3 aperture and 1.12 µm pixel size and 1/4" sensor size. For selfies, there is a 16MP front-facing camera using a GalaxyCore GC16B3C sensor with an f/2.0 aperture and 1.00 µm pixel size with 1/3.1" sensor size. The camera system includes an LED flash and features such as autofocus, digital zoom, digital image stabilization, noise reduction, HDR, and panorama. It can record 4K video at 30fps with EIS and 1080p video at 30/60fps with EIS. Slow-motion video recording is also available at 240 fps.

Battery Life

The phone is equipped with a 5000mAh Li-Ion battery which supports 33W fast charging. It has a non-removable battery, and wireless charging is not supported.

Software

The Nothing CMF Phone 1 runs on Android 14, with a planned upgrade to Android 16.

Connectivity

Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) supporting dual-band, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi Display and Wi-Fi MiMO. Bluetooth 5.3 with A2DP, LE, APT-x, LDAC, SBC, and AAC codecs. It has GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, QZSS, and Galileo for location tracking. The device supports dual Nano-SIM cards. The CMF Phone 1 is equipped with a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer with OTG support. The device supports USB mass storage, but does not have USB host capabilities. The phone is compatible with a wide array of 5G and 4G LTE bands. NFC is not included.
