The Motorola Edge 30 Ultra, released on September 8, 2022, features a premium build with a glass front and back, encased in an aluminum frame. The device measures 161.8 mm in height, 73.5 mm in width, and 8.4 mm in depth, weighing in at 198.5 grams. It is not a foldable phone and has a curved design with a dual-edge display, which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The phone is available in Interstellar Black and Starlight White color options.

Screen Quality

The Edge 30 Ultra boasts a 6.67-inch P-OLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, resulting in a pixel density of 395 ppi. The display supports 1B colors, has a 144Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ compatibility, and reaches a peak brightness of 1250 nits. While it doesn't feature LTPO technology, it boasts a 20:9 aspect ratio and incorporates a hole-punch notch for the front-facing camera. The screen also has a 360 Hz touch sampling rate, DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, and DC dimming. It also covers 100% of the NTSC color space, has a 10-bit color panel, and is scratch-resistant.

Camera Performance

The Motorola Edge 30 Ultra's camera system includes a triple rear setup. The primary camera features a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP1 sensor (1/1.22" size, 0.64µm pixels, f/1.95 aperture), utilizing 2x2 pixel binning to create 50MP images. The secondary camera is a 50MP Samsung S5KJN1 wide-angle lens (1/2.76" size, 0.64µm pixels, f/2.2 aperture), also with 2x2 pixel binning. It incorporates an under-display fingerprint sensor as well as accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and compass sensors.
