Design

The Google Pixel 6 Pro, launched on October 28, 2021, features a distinct design with a prominent camera bar stretching across the rear. It measures 163.9 mm in height, 75.9 mm in width, and 8.9 mm in depth, weighing 210 grams. The construction includes a glass front (Corning Gorilla Glass Victus) and back, held together by an aluminum frame. Available color options are Stormy Black, Cloudy White, and Sorta Sunny. It has a curved edge display and the fingerprint sensor is located under the display.

Display

The device boasts a 6.7-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440 x 3120 pixels, translating to a pixel density of 512 ppi. The display has a 120Hz refresh rate, using LTPO technology to dynamically adjust the refresh rate and conserve battery. It also features HDR10+ support, a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. Additional display features include a hole-punch notch, Always-On Display, and multi-touch support. The screen has a 19.5:9 aspect ratio.

Performance

The Pixel 6 Pro is powered by Google's own Tensor chipset, built on a 5 nm process. The octa-core CPU consists of two 2.80 GHz Cortex-X1 cores, two 2.25 GHz Cortex-A76 cores, and four 1.80 GHz Cortex-A55 cores. Graphics are handled by the Mali-G78 MP20 GPU. It comes with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM. The phone achieved an AnTuTu score of 721,000 (v10). Storage options range from 128 GB to 512 GB, using UFS 3.1 technology. There is no SD card slot available.

Camera

DXOMark scores are 134 for the mobile main score, 138 for photo and 133 for video, while the selfie camera earned 138 main score, 135 photo and 143 video scores.

Battery Life

The device is equipped with a 5003 mAh Li-Ion battery. It supports 30W fast charging and 23W wireless charging, as well as reverse charging. The battery is non-removable.

Software

The Pixel 6 Pro launched with Android 12 and is upgradable to Android 14. The operating system offers a clean, bloatware-free experience with exclusive Pixel features.
