  3. How important is having the latest software and long-term support? (Android version, software updates)

Scenario-Based Recommendations:

  • Scenario 1: Heavy Mobile Gamer/Performance User: Choose the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9T for its superior processor, GPU, and display.
  • Scenario 2: Casual User & Social Media Sharer: The Samsung Galaxy A12 Nacho with its wide-angle lens and latest Android is a better choice.

  • Scenario 4: Users who need a better camera: If you prefer the versatility of multiple lens, then consider Samsung Galaxy A12 Nacho, due to its wider lens.
  • Scenario 5: User who needs the fastest performance at the lowest price: If the user needs the fastest performance, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9T is a better choice, as it provides significantly faster overall performance.

My Choice

I would choose the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9T. While the Samsung Galaxy A12 Nacho has the advantage of a newer operating system and a wide-angle lens, the Redmi Note 9T offers a much better overall user experience for me due to its significantly superior performance, sharper display, and better audio quality. I do use my phone for gaming, watching videos, and listening to music, so the Redmi would provide me with a much better experience for my use case. Also the lack of expandable storage on both devices means the 64 or 128 GB on the Redmi Note 9T will be more useful overall due to the higher performance and screen quality, as I would take more videos, photos, and apps due to the better performance. The better charging speed with the included 22.5 W charger is a welcome addition, and the lack of the wide angle lens would be fine for me.
