My Choice
If I were to choose between the two, I would choose the Realme GT2 Pro. Although it comes at a higher price point, the advantages it offers outweigh the budget-friendly nature of the Redmi Note 9T.
My reasons are as follows:
Superior Performance: The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset provides a significantly smoother experience for daily usage, multitasking, and demanding games. The much higher AnTuTu score is a clear indicator of the difference in performance.
Display Quality: The higher resolution, refresh rate and brightness of the GT2 Pro are a major advantage, especially since I use my phone outdoors frequently and consume a lot of video content. The Redmi Note 9T's screen, with it's low brightness and older LCD panel would not suffice.
Better Camera System: The versatile camera setup with OIS, a wide-angle lens and much better video capabilities aligns better with my usage, as I frequently take pictures and record video for both professional and personal use.
Future Proofing: The newer operating system and connectivity features make the GT2 Pro a more future-proof option. Additionally, having more storage and RAM is always a plus.
While the side-mounted fingerprint sensor of the Redmi Note 9T might be a more convenient option for some users, the overall package of the Realme GT2 Pro is significantly more appealing for my specific needs. While the price is significantly higher, the added value from the display, camera, and performance make the GT2 Pro the clear winner for me.
