Although the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9T presents a better value proposition for its price point, the Pixel 9 Pro XL provides a superior experience in practically every category of a smartphone experience. The screen is miles better (OLED with 120Hz vs LCD), the camera system is much more versatile and has much better image quality, and it has the newest software (Android 14 with guaranteed updates for a few years).
While the weight may be a downside, the trade-off is well worth it for a phone that will be significantly faster, better and have better support. If I had a limited budget, I might have considered the Redmi, but if price is not my biggest concern, the Pixel 9 Pro XL is better.
