I would choose the Xiaomi 12.
While the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10S is a very capable phone for the price, the Xiaomi 12 offers a significantly better user experience in most of the critical areas. The vastly superior performance of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, coupled with the 120Hz refresh rate display, will provide a smoother and more responsive user experience. As someone who does enjoy playing mobile games from time to time, I would appreciate the better graphics performance.
Although the battery on the Xiaomi 12 is slightly smaller, the 67W fast charging and 50W wireless charging is a huge advantage that would help me throughout my day.
The vastly improved cameras, especially the larger sensor size of the main camera, combined with advanced features like OIS and 8K video recording make the Xiaomi 12 a much better option for photography and videography.
While it comes at a higher price, the Xiaomi 12 would offer a better experience that would improve my overall workflow, therefore the cost difference is worth it.
