Key Questions for Buyers:
- Is a high refresh rate screen (120Hz) important for you? If yes, choose the OnePlus. If not, the Redmi is fine.

- Is 5G important for you? If yes, the OnePlus is the only option here.
Scenario-Based Recommendations:
- Scenario 1: Budget user, media focused, bright outdoor visibility is important, 5G is not a priority: Choose the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10S. The AMOLED screen is far better for media and offers higher visibility in bright sunlight. It also has a wide angle lens and 4k video capability, making it great value for the price.
- Scenario 2: Gaming enthusiast, wants 5G, prefers a smooth experience: Choose the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G. The 120Hz refresh rate is noticeably smoother. The 5G and better GPS are also helpful.
- Scenario 3: Casual user who likes to take selfies, prefers to be up to date and needs decent performance for daily use: Choose the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G. The slightly better selfie camera, modern OS, and more efficient chipset make it the better choice for that.
My Choice
Given my preferences, I would choose the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10S.
The superior AMOLED display is a significant advantage for me, as I value color accuracy, contrast, and power efficiency. I watch a lot of videos and the display makes this experience much better. The higher peak brightness rating is extremely important for me, as I spend a lot of time outdoors and the Redmi Note 10S's display would be much more visible than the OnePlus. I also value the 4K video recording capability and the wide angle camera for capturing memorable moments. Whilst it lacks some features, such as 5G or the 120hz display, I believe the positives of the phone are much more important.
