My Choice

I would choose the Google Pixel Fold. While it comes with a significant price premium and is considerably heavier, the advantages it offers are far more important for my needs.

Here's why:

  • Performance: The vast difference in chipset performance would be noticeable in daily use, particularly for multitasking and demanding apps. The large difference in the Antutu score confirms this.
  • Display: The larger, higher-refresh-rate display would greatly enhance my media consumption and productivity workflows, making it enjoyable and more efficient.
  • Camera: I often use my phone for photos and video, and the Google Pixel Fold’s superior camera system with features like optical zoom and much better video capabilities is essential for me. The high score from DXOMark is very compelling.
  • Longevity: The newer software and guaranteed updates mean that the device will be supported for much longer than the Xiaomi.
  • Connectivity: The improved Wi-Fi standard and satellite navigation support make the device a much better travel companion.

While the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 is a great budget phone that does offer advantages in weight, it's outdated now and simply cannot compete with the high-end features and performance of the Google Pixel Fold. The trade-offs it entails are simply too great, and as such I find the Pixel Fold to be a superior device.
