  • Scenario 2: Performance is key: If you want a fast phone for gaming, heavy app usage and want the best display and camera quality, and can afford a higher price tag, choose the Xiaomi 12X.
  • Scenario 3: Balanced Approach: If you are trying to balance performance, but the budget is also a factor, then you would have to consider the trade-offs as performance will not be as smooth as the Xiaomi 12X.

My Choice

I would choose the Xiaomi 12X.

While the Redmi 9T offers impressive battery life and a lower price point, the Xiaomi 12X excels in almost every other aspect that I prioritize. The drastically improved performance with its Snapdragon 870 chip would make my daily use significantly smoother and more enjoyable. As someone who frequently engages in mobile gaming, this is a critical factor.

The AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate is a major upgrade for viewing quality, and would give a much better experience. Additionally, the superior camera system would make my photography experiences much better, while the fast charging would offset the smaller battery, and the enhanced audio experience is a great addition.

While the cost is a bit higher, I value premium experience and future-proofing, which the 12X delivers in every way.
