4. Decision Framework
Consider these questions before deciding:
- How important is battery life to you? If battery life is a priority, the Xiaomi Redmi 9T may be more suitable.
- How important is smooth and snappy performance to you? If you need to multitask heavily or use demanding apps, the Realme 12x is the better option.

- Scenario 3: Balanced usage with lots of storage: If you require a good balance of features and don't want to worry about running out of storage space, the Realme 12x is the recommended pick.
My Choice
If I had to pick between the two, I would choose the Realme 12x.
While the Xiaomi Redmi 9T has the advantage of a larger battery and a higher-resolution screen, the performance difference is massive with the Realme 12x. The Realme 12x's significantly better chipset, much more RAM, and 120Hz screen offer a far smoother and more enjoyable user experience that I would personally prefer. In addition the 12x has much more storage space and ships with a much more modern version of Android, as well as other benefits like better Bluetooth and extra sensors. For me the Realme 12x's performance benefits, and more modern features would outweigh the benefits of extra battery and slightly better screen resolution. While the battery of the 12x is smaller than the 9T, the more efficient chipset in the 12x should also help with battery life, without compromising on performance.
