My Choice

If I had to choose between these two phones, I would go with the Realme C53.

Here's why:

While the Poco M3's larger battery and Hi-Res audio are tempting, the Realme C53’s overall package is more appealing for my typical use case. I prefer the benefits of a newer operating system, Android 13, which brings better security and performance. The 90Hz refresh rate would give slightly smoother experience and the faster charging is a big plus for me. Additionally, the additional RAM of the C53 and storage are key in ensuring my phone is not obsolete in just a few years time. While the Poco M3 is decent, it would be difficult to recommend a phone with Android 10 in 2024. The missing features on the Realme such as the superior audio or screen protection are not deal breakers and I can live without them to get the more complete package. The Realme also has a depth sensor for portrait photography, which I value more than manual focus.

In summary, the Realme C53 would be my choice because it offers a more balanced and modern experience, despite having a slightly smaller battery and weaker audio.
