My Choice and Why

Given the specifications and my own preferences, I would choose the Xiaomi Poco F3.

  • Camera Capabilities: While I appreciate macro photography, I value overall camera performance more. The Poco F3's higher-resolution main and selfie cameras will provide superior quality photos. The ability to record in 4K makes it a better fit for my needs.
  • Faster Charging: The convenience of fast charging is a significant advantage. The reduced downtime is important for my usage.
  • Audio Experience: The inclusion of stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos is a compelling feature. I enjoy watching videos on my phone and the audio on the Poco F3 will be much better.
  • Longer-term Value: While the Oppo A16 is cheaper, the Poco F3 is the device I would prefer to use every day, and for a long time, offering more power and features that will be useful over the lifetime of the phone.

While the Oppo A16 does have a larger battery and reverse charging feature, the massive performance gap, the vastly better display and camera and the much faster charging rate mean that these advantages are not enough for me to justify the trade off. For me, the user experience with the Poco F3 would be a far better experience.

Therefore, the Xiaomi Poco F3 is my preferred choice due to its superior overall performance and more well rounded experience.
