My Choice and Why
If I had to choose between the two, I would choose the Xiaomi Poco F3. My reasoning is primarily based on the following factors:
- Superior Performance: The Snapdragon 870 provides much more processing power for gaming and demanding applications. As a power user, the difference in performance is highly noticeable in day to day use.
- High Refresh Rate Display: The 120Hz refresh rate is crucial for a smooth and responsive user experience, which matters a lot for me in my daily usage.
- Faster Charging: 33W charging is significantly faster than 20W charging, allowing me to get back to using my phone more quickly.
- Better Audio: Hi-Res Audio is a bonus that elevates the audio experience.
- Superior Screen Visibility: 1300 nits of brightness allows for great outdoor visibility which is something I find very important when outdoors.
While the Motorola Moto G42 has a slightly larger battery and more camera versatility, the performance and display of the Poco F3 offer a better overall user experience for my needs. I do not usually need a wide angle lens or a macro lens, so that advantage of the Moto G42 is not important for my use case.
