My Choice

If I were choosing between these two phones, I would pick the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G.

While the Xiaomi Redmi 14C is newer and more budget-friendly, the S21 Ultra offers a drastically superior user experience in almost every aspect that is important to me. I value a great display, fast performance, and a versatile camera system. The S21 Ultra's AMOLED display with its higher resolution, pixel density and brightness will significantly enhance daily use, and makes it an ideal phone for media consumption and gaming. The powerful processor and ample RAM mean I can smoothly handle demanding tasks without experiencing any slowdown, a critical aspect for productivity. The advanced camera system would allow me to take high-quality photos and videos, and the zoom capability is valuable for capturing detail from a distance.

While it is an older phone, the performance and specifications of the S21 Ultra still hold up and are vastly superior than what the Redmi 14C has to offer. The additional features such as wireless charging, fast charging and the superior Wi-Fi connectivity and GPS are a big bonus. I do prefer the side-mounted fingerprint scanner of the Redmi 14C, but this does not outweigh the S21 Ultra's other significant advantages.
