My Choice

If I had to choose between the Samsung Galaxy S21 5G and the Samsung Galaxy A04e, I would pick the Samsung Galaxy S21 5G. Although it is older, the vast difference in performance, camera quality and display technology is too significant to ignore.

While the A04e has a bigger battery, I would choose the S21 5G's better charging technology and superior user experience thanks to the 120hz refresh rate, better display and performance. The camera system, complete with a telephoto and wide angle lens is significantly more versatile compared to the A04e. Furthermore, The S21 5G comes with much better build quality including a more robust screen which makes it more suitable for long term use. The S21 5G also has better long-term support with a guaranteed update to Android 15, which the A04e lacks.

The S21 5G provides significantly better features and delivers a much better overall smartphone experience, even though it is older. Unless my budget is extremely tight, the S21 5G would be my clear choice.
