The Pixel 8's performance is far superior due to its modern chipset, making it smoother for daily use, multitasking and gaming. The camera is also superior.

The display is also much brighter, making it far more usable in sunlight. The software support is much better, and the Pixel 8 has access to newer wireless standards. All these factors make the Pixel 8 the better overall phone.

While the A52 5G has the flexibility of additional lenses, the raw power and superior image processing of the Pixel 8 outweigh those considerations. For me, the overall experience of a fast, reliable phone with a class leading camera makes the Pixel 8 the better choice.
