Key Questions for Buyers:

  1. What is your budget? The price difference between these phones is likely significant, and cost should be a major factor in your decision.
  2. What is your primary use case? Do you primarily need a phone for basic tasks and casual usage, or do you require top-tier performance and advanced features?
  3. What is more important to you: portability or performance? Are you okay with a bulkier phone for cutting-edge features or is a lighter, more portable device more important?

Scenario-Based Recommendations:

  • Scenario 1: Tight Budget, Basic Use: If you have a limited budget and mainly use your phone for basic tasks, the Samsung Galaxy A32 is the better choice due to its affordability and decent performance for everyday needs.

  • Scenario 2: Gaming and Heavy Usage: If you prioritize gaming, multitasking, and demanding applications, the Honor Magic4 Pro is the clear winner with its superior processor, GPU, and RAM.

  • Scenario 3: Photography and Videography: If you are someone who enjoys photography and videography, the Honor Magic4 Pro is the better choice with a much more powerful main camera, telephoto lens and high video recording quality.

  • Scenario 4: Balanced User: For a balanced user, the choice will depend on their budget. If money is not a concern, the Magic4 Pro is a great upgrade. However if on a budget, the A32 offers great value for money.

What I would choose and why!

Personally, I would choose the Honor Magic4 Pro, despite its larger size and higher cost. The dramatically better performance due to its cutting-edge chipset and much superior display (higher resolution, higher refresh rate and 1000 nits brightness) offer a significantly improved user experience that would be noticeable every single time I used the phone. The superior camera system is another critical factor for me since I prioritize capturing high quality photos and videos. I would also benefit greatly from the 100W fast charging, which drastically reduces downtime, and wireless charging which is convenient for the day to day use. While the Samsung A32 is a decent phone, the Honor Magic4 Pro excels in the areas that matter most to me in a smartphone: speed, display, camera and battery charging.
