While the Samsung Galaxy A12 has a better main camera, I value the build quality of the A16, the inclusion of a macro lens, reverse charging, better wifi, more accurate GPS and better screen protection, especially since I'm more prone to dropping my phone. The slight performance upgrade is nice but is not that important to me. The lower weight is also a huge plus as I tend to use my phone with one hand and prefer a lighter build.

Although the camera of the A12 is better, it's not that significant for my daily usage. The benefits of better build quality, wifi, and reverse charging and the more accurate GPS of the A16 outweigh the camera superiority of the A12 for my usage patterns.
