Personal Recommendation

I would choose the Xiaomi 12 Pro. Although the Realme GT 5G is a very capable phone, the Xiaomi 12 Pro offers a vastly superior user experience in most of the important areas. While the difference in weight is noticeable, the benefits from the better screen, better cameras, faster performance, and faster charging outweigh the drawback. As a power user I would benefit the most from these improvements. The improved camera capabilities are an added benefit, and the lack of a macro lens would not bother me as the other lenses on the Xiaomi 12 Pro make up for this. The 8K video recording and higher brightness display are also very attractive.

The Xiaomi 12 Pro also has better future-proofing, thanks to its faster processor. While a macro camera is a nice feature, I can achieve close up shots in other ways.
