  • Scenario 3: Photography Enthusiast: If you need advanced photo features like optical zoom, RAW capture and better image quality on wide-angle lens, the Oppo Find X3 Pro is the better choice.
  • Scenario 4: Need for macro and portrait photography: If you want to take macro photos and prefer dedicated depth sensor for portrait, the Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G offers better options due to its dedicated depth and macro lenses.

My Choice and Why

I would choose the Oppo Find X3 Pro. My reasoning is primarily based on its superior performance, display quality, and more versatile camera system. While the Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G is a good phone for its price, the Oppo Find X3 Pro offers a premium experience with a noticeable advantage in terms of speed, clarity, and camera flexibility.

Here’s why the Oppo Find X3 Pro aligns better with my preferences:

  • Performance: As someone who values smooth performance in daily use, the Snapdragon 888 in the Oppo offers significantly better responsiveness and ability to handle heavy workloads, such as gaming and demanding apps.
  • Display: The higher resolution and brightness of the Oppo's display would improve my media consumption experience, especially when outdoors or viewing high-resolution content.
  • Camera: Although I appreciate a dedicated macro and portrait lens, the superior main camera, wide angle camera, telephoto lens and video capabilities of the Oppo outweigh the need for these. The ability to shoot in RAW format and the better zoom capability are important for me as I like to have the most control possible in editing my shots.
  • Charging Speed: The 65W charging on the Oppo is a significant advantage, given I tend to forget charging my devices. The wireless charging is also a nice convenience to have when I am near a wireless charging dock.

While the Samsung A52s 5G is a solid, well rounded phone and has the advantage of a dedicated depth and macro lens, for my own personal use case, the Oppo Find X3 Pro offers much better value for the added features that I would use on a day to day basis. I would prefer the more powerful CPU/GPU, superior display quality and far superior camera performance on the Oppo Find X3 Pro.
