My Choice
If I were to choose, I would lean towards the Samsung Galaxy A14. While the Oppo A54 5G has some appealing features like the 90Hz refresh rate and extra camera lenses, the significant performance advantage of the Galaxy A14 is more compelling for me. The 8nm processor of the Oppo A54 5G is better than the 12nm in the Galaxy, but the architecture in the Galaxy is simply more powerful. A better benchmark score translates to a snappier and more reliable experience in daily use and future proofing it further, while the software version of the Galaxy A14 also makes it a better long term purchase. For someone who wants a well-rounded experience, the Galaxy A14 is the better all-rounder. The added bonus of Dolby Atmos audio is also a major plus for me. I do wish the Samsung had the additional camera features of the Oppo and a 90 Hz refresh rate, but it is the more powerful of the two phones.
