While the display smoothness is a nice-to-have, the real world performance differences seem more impactful on the long run. The improved camera detail, higher resolution selfie camera, and dedicated depth sensor also makes it a better choice for photography. The slightly larger size is a trade-off I am willing to make for the additional benefits.
