4. Decision Framework

Key Questions for Buyers:

  1. Do you prioritize display quality and performance, or screen protection and software updates? If a sharper display and faster performance are more important, the Oppo A54 5G is better. If a newer operating system and screen durability are more valuable, the Nokia G100 is a better choice.
  2. How important is photography, and what kind of photos do you take? If you value a versatile camera with high-quality images, the Oppo A54 5G is a better option. If a basic camera setup with good daylight performance is sufficient, the Nokia G100 may be suitable.

My Choice

I would choose the Oppo A54 5G. Although the Nokia G100 has a more modern OS and more durable screen, the Oppo A54 5G's superior display and enhanced performance will provide a noticeable advantage. In addition, I personally prefer having a more capable camera and the extra storage space provided by the 256GB option. The higher refresh rate and superior GPU will result in a more fluid experience while navigating the device and running games. The camera system in the Oppo A54 5G offers better performance in all scenarios as well as a dedicated macro camera for versatile shots. Although the Android 11 may be slightly older, the improvements in display and performance outweigh the minor improvements provided by Android 12.
