My Choice
Personally, I would choose the OnePlus 9R. While the Redmi 12 5G has a newer OS and larger battery, the performance difference is simply too significant. As someone who regularly uses my phone for multitasking, gaming, and media consumption, the Snapdragon 870 on the OnePlus 9R offers a superior user experience. The AMOLED display, faster charging and better camera features are also extremely appealing to me, outweighing the benefits of slightly longer battery and better screen protection on the Redmi 12 5G. The OnePlus 9R also has superior wireless connectivity such as Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1 and enhanced GPS. While it may come down to personal preference, for my needs the OnePlus 9R is the more ideal device.
