My Choice and Why
If I were choosing between these two phones, I would choose the OnePlus 9R. While the Xiaomi Redmi 10A offers a larger battery and a significantly lower price tag, the OnePlus 9R excels in virtually every other aspect that matters to me in a smartphone: performance, display quality, camera capabilities and audio quality.
My main uses for a smartphone include browsing, content consumption, occasional gaming and photography. The much faster processor, the smoother 120Hz AMOLED display, the significantly better camera system, and the faster charging speed of the OnePlus 9R are worth the extra cost to me. The longer battery life of the Redmi 10A is attractive but the much better overall experience of the OnePlus 9R outweighs it.
The OnePlus 9R offers an experience far closer to what I'd expect from a mid range to high end phone, it provides a significantly better and more fluid experience than Redmi 10A. While price is always a factor, I would personally be willing to spend more for the substantially enhanced overall functionality and experience provided by the OnePlus 9R, which is likely to also offer a better long-term value, as it is more capable of handling demanding tasks and future software updates.
