What would I choose and why?
Personally, I would choose the OnePlus 9. While the Xiaomi Redmi A3x offers a larger battery and newer operating system, the OnePlus 9 wins in almost every other aspect that is important for my usage, including a vastly superior display, significantly better performance, a much more capable camera system and faster charging, making it the better choice for a more premium user experience. Although the OnePlus 9 may be older, it still has an excellent feature set that outweighs the newer Redmi A3x in almost every way other than price. If budget is a primary concern and performance is not a priority, then the Redmi A3x is an acceptable device, but as a power user, the OnePlus 9 is a better fit for my needs.
