What I Would Choose and Why
I would choose the OnePlus 9.
While the Motorola Moto G31 has a larger battery, the OnePlus 9's strengths in key areas like performance, display, and camera are simply far more compelling for my needs. I prioritize smooth performance, a bright and fluid display, and high-quality cameras, which the OnePlus 9 delivers exceptionally well.
The significant performance difference means that the OnePlus 9 will provide a far more enjoyable daily experience. The 120Hz refresh rate makes the UI more responsive and enjoyable. The brighter screen will also make it much easier to use outdoors. The camera system is far more versatile and capable, along with high video recording capabilities. Finally the wireless charging is a convenient feature to have.
The lack of a macro lens and the slightly smaller battery are not dealbreakers for me, as the other advantages outweigh these drawbacks. While the Moto G31 has some advantages in specific areas like battery, macro camera, and a fingerprint sensor, they don't compensate for the massive gap in overall performance, display and camera capabilities.
