Scenario-Based Recommendations:
- Scenario 1: Mobile Gamer: Choose the ZTE nubia Red Magic 9S Pro. Its superior performance, larger battery, and faster charging are ideal for gaming.
- Scenario 2: Photographer/Media Lover: Choose the OnePlus 9 Pro. Its sharper, brighter display, more versatile camera system will suit your needs.
- Scenario 3: All-Around User: If you value a balance, consider the OnePlus 9 Pro, but if you need maximum battery life and performance, the Red Magic 9S Pro is still the stronger choice.
My Choice
Given my preference for a balance of features and my interest in photography and media, I would choose the OnePlus 9 Pro. While the ZTE nubia Red Magic 9S Pro clearly excels in raw performance and battery life, the OnePlus 9 Pro offers a significantly better display (sharpness and brightness) which matters a great deal for my daily use and media consumption, and its camera system is more versatile than the Red Magic 9S Pro with a telephoto lens and black and white lens for more photographic options. I do appreciate the wireless charging of the OnePlus as well. Though the performance is not as high and battery life is not as long as the ZTE, I think I can work around that for a significantly better display and more versatile camera setup. However, if raw gaming performance and maximum battery life was the highest priority, I would definitely choose the Red Magic 9S Pro.
