I would choose the OnePlus 8T.
While the Samsung Galaxy A54 offers a more modern experience with a newer version of Android and potentially longer software support, the OnePlus 8T's superior performance is more appealing to me. The Snapdragon 865 is still a very capable chipset, and the much faster charging is a significant convenience. In addition, the brightness is a huge differentiating factor that I would much prefer over the Galaxy A54, since I'm constantly outside and need to be able to see my screen. Even though it's an older phone, the OnePlus 8T still offers a very smooth and responsive experience, and the faster performance makes it a better choice for my needs.
