Personal Choice

If I were choosing between these two phones, I would personally choose the Xiaomi Poco M5.

Here's why:

While the Motorola One 5G Ace offers a larger screen and a higher resolution selfie camera, these are not my priorities. I prioritize overall performance and responsiveness in my smartphone. The Poco M5's newer chipset, smoother 90Hz display, and better benchmark scores are more appealing to me. Additionally the side-mounted fingerprint scanner, dual sim support, newer bluetooth, better GPS and faster charging are preferred.

The trade-off of a smaller screen and a lower-resolution front camera is acceptable for my use case, which involves more general day-to-day usage and occasional gaming. The camera setup is good enough for my casual use. Also, the front flash is an added bonus. Finally, the Poco M5's newer operating system provides a longer software support which is beneficial.
