My Choice
If I were choosing between these two phones, I would choose the Motorola Edge 50 Neo.
Here's why:
While the Moto G30's larger battery is appealing, the Edge 50 Neo offers a significantly superior experience in almost every other aspect that matters to me. The vastly improved display quality with its P-OLED panel, higher resolution, and faster refresh rate makes a big difference in everyday usage. The performance boost from the Dimensity 7300 chipset is substantial, ensuring that the phone remains smooth and responsive for years. I also value the much better camera system with its 4k video recording and telephoto lens, and the faster charging makes it very convenient to use. The additional storage, RAM, and Dolby Atmos enhanced audio are important improvements. The Edge 50 Neo is a more future-proof device that would be a much better long-term choice.
Although the battery is a bit smaller, the overall performance gains in the other areas heavily outweigh that drawback. The faster charging and wireless charging make the smaller battery more manageable. For me, a better display, faster performance, improved camera and modern software are worth the extra cost. The Moto G30 may be fine for basic use, but for my needs, the Edge 50 Neo is the clear winner.
