The slight downgrade in resolution is a trade-off I'm willing to make for the smoother experience, better design, and software advantages. Also, given the fact that I don't shoot a lot of high quality video, the 4k recording capability of the Moto G 5G is not a deciding factor for me. The side-mounted fingerprint scanner and better audio codecs on the Moto G53 are also a plus.
