While the Asus Zenfone 8 has a nice compact form factor which I find appealing, the Xiaomi 14T Pro simply excels in nearly every other category, offering significant improvements in performance, battery life, camera quality, and display, including the latest connectivity features.
The drastically better chipset (Mediatek Dimensity 9300+) is a game-changer, ensuring smoother multitasking, faster app loading times, and a much better gaming experience. The 14T Pro's larger, brighter screen is also a major advantage, as I watch a lot of videos, and I prefer the extra screen estate. Finally, the vastly improved camera system, which is shown by the DXOMARK scores, and the faster charging would make my daily life with the 14T Pro more enjoyable and convenient.
In my opinion, the trade-off in size and weight is an acceptable cost for the performance and all the other significant gains provided by the 14T Pro, which provides a much better experience overall.
