My Choice

If I were choosing between these two phones, I would personally choose the Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max.

Here's why:

As a user who prioritizes performance and camera quality, the iPhone 12 Pro Max aligns better with my needs. Although I do value the smoother display of the Moto G82, the significantly more powerful processor, superior camera system (especially its video capabilities and the telephoto lens for added versatility), and much higher brightness on the iPhone 12 Pro Max would outweigh that advantage for me. I use my phone for photography, editing photos, gaming and streaming videos and the iPhone 12 Pro Max would handle these tasks much better. Additionally the proven DXOMARK scores, especially when compared to the unreviewed Motorola G82, show a much higher level of camera performance. The price is a big consideration however, but, given the value I place on high performance and camera quality, the iPhone 12 Pro Max is the better choice, despite its higher price tag.
